The level of training of Ukrainian students is in line with international standards

This statement was made by Mykola Azarov during a visit to the National Pedagogical University named after M. Dragomanov.

On January 27 Prime Minister delivered a lecture at one of the oldest universities in Ukraine. Prime Minister told the students - future teachers about the need to raise the prestige of teachers. He also raised economic, energy issues and other important topics for the country.

Mykola Azarov noted that in fact the work of a teacher is one of the most respected professions, and it is not less prestigious than the profession of a minister.

"The most important thing in our information world now is to learn how to think outside the box, forcing pupils and students comprehend and analyze the events of our time" - Prime Minister said.

Mykola Azarov noted that it is thinking outside the box that allows you to create cutting-edge technologies, implementation of which will have a positive impact, particularly on the economy of Ukraine.

Head of the Cabinet of Ministers also promised to raise salaries to teachers, "Our goal is to reach the level of the average teacher's salary, which corresponds to an average salary in the economy. Can we do it? Yes, we can! I think that we will do it next year or two. "

Prime Minister said that education in Ukraine was at a high level, and level of students met modern international standards.

We shall remind you that on January 24, Mykola Azarov discussed the bill on higher education with the rectors of leading Ukrainian universities and students. As a result, a working group has been created, which is engaged in its finalizing. "In 10 days I will be reported of the results on finalization of this bill.
